FAQ

What type of clients do you work with?

We’re proud to serve a diverse range of clients who share a common goal—making informed, confident financial decisions for themselves and their loved ones. Our clients include:

Working Professionals – Building wealth, managing debt, and planning for the future.

Pre-Retirees & Retirees – Transitioning into retirement with a strategy for income, investments, and legacy planning.

Business Owners & Entrepreneurs – Balancing personal and business financial goals, succession planning, and tax strategies.

Families Across Generations – Parents, children, and grandparents working together to pursue lasting financial security.

We believe in multigenerational planning, encouraging clients to involve children, grandchildren, parents, and other relatives in the process. This approach deeks to ensure that financial wisdom and stability are passed down—and that every generation is prepared to work toward making sound financial choices.

What services do you provide?

At LFA, we provide comprehensive financial planning and wealth management tailored to the unique needs of individuals and families.

Financial Planning – Available on a one-time or retainer basis, covering areas such as investment strategy, retirement income, education savings, tax efficiency, estate planning, and insurance recommendations.

Wealth Management – Ongoing management of invested assets, designed to align with your long-term goals.

We start by reviewing your personalized financial roadmap, then identify opportunities to help you grow, safeguard, and transfer your wealth.

How do you charge for services?

Our primary compensation is an asset-based advisory fee charged through LPL Financial, our broker/dealer.

Aligned Incentives – When your portfolio grows, our compensation grows. When it declines, so does ours.

Transparent Costs – Fees are a percentage of assets under management, with rates varying by total household assets.

Planning-Only Fees – A one-time or retainer fee may apply for financial planning services outside of investment management.

Additional Revenue – In some cases, we may earn commissions from brokerage accounts or insurance products when suitable for your needs.

Do you have account minimums?

While we do not have account minimums, typically we work with clients with $500,000 or more to invest.

Who will review my financial affairs with me?

Your dedicated LFA financial advisor will work closely with you to develop and manage your plan. Our advisor team collaborates to ensure consistency, while our service team supports you with operational and administrative needs—so you always have professional guidance and responsive support.

What is a fiduciary?

A fiduciary is legally and ethically bound to put the interests of fee-based advisory clients, ahead of their own. This isn’t just a promise—it’s a professional obligation. As fiduciary financial advisors, we are required to:

Act in Your Best Interest – Every recommendation we make must be designed to benefit you, not us.

Be Transparent – We fully disclose fees, potential conflicts of interest, and how we are compensated.

Provide Objective Advice – Our guidance is based on your unique goals, risk tolerance, and financial situation—not on products that pay higher commissions.

Maintain Loyalty & Care – We manage your investments and financial plan with the same attention and diligence we’d give to our own affairs.

In other words, being a fiduciary means you come first—always.

Many advisors are held only to a “suitability standard,” which means recommendations must simply be suitable for you, even if there are better or more cost-effective options. As fiduciaries, we go further. We are committed to ensuring every decision we help you make is truly in your best interest.

In addition to regulatory oversight from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), many fiduciary advisors hold professional designations that carry their own strict ethical and professional standards. Examples include:

Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®)

Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®)

These credentials require ongoing education, adherence to a code of ethics, and a commitment to placing the client’s best interest at the center of every financial decision.
